In addition to the time from launch, temperature, pressure, and altitude profiles, the standard output file contains 4 RH variables showing the different stages of correction: the unaltered original data (RHorig), the filtered and smoothed data that the time-lag correction acts upon (RHsmooth), the time-lag-corrected data (RHtlag), and the final corrected data after the calibration and solar radiation corrections are applied (RHfinal). Header information includes the site location and launch time, radiosonde characteristics, codes for the corrections that were applied, the column-integrated precipitable water vapor (PWV) before and after correction, max and min RH values in the troposphere and stratosphere, and the line beginning "DNX" identifies this as a Nighttime launch and the UTC sunrise, sunset, and launchtime, and the solar elevation and azimuth angles at launch are given. Since this is a nighttime sounding, the solar radiation (SR) correction at launch is zero. The two lines describing the RS92 bias relative to THref before and after correction will not be present unless the site is equipped with a THref for characterizing RS92 accuracy at the surface (THref is described here). |
